PG 60/70 (Philippines)
Is a high-quality penetration grade bitumen used in road and airport construction or other similar applications
Cariphalte PG76 (SEPL)
Is a polymer modified bitumen designed specifically by Shell to increase the fuel resistance as well the heavy duty application of asphalt mixtures. In addition, this newly developed bitumen also possesses improved performance with respect to resistance to permanent deformation and cracking.
Applications
Shell Cariphalte is particularly suited to heavy traffic locations such as highways, main roads, airfields, overlaying concrete, roundabouts and bus lanes. Typically we’ve developed products for a combination of the following needs:
- for use in thin surfacing and stone mastic asphalt
- for use in drainage (porous) asphalt applications
- for an increased level of fuel resistance
- for motor-racing circuits and test tracks
- for asphalt mixtures designed for high resistance to permanent deformation and high flexibility
- for high-performance road applications in combination with Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement.
Class 170 (71422PNG)
Paving grade bitumen suitable for standard sealing and lightly trafficked asphalt applications.
Applications
Class 170 is widely used in sprayed sealing and light asphalt applications to provide durability and fatigue resistance. It is also used to manufacture cutback bitumen, bitumen emulsions and modified bitumen.
Cutback MC-70/250/800 (Philippines)
Medium curing cutback asphalt used as a prime coat for road construction and waterproofing. Major use for Shell Cutback MC-70 is in the road maintenance industry where it is used as a prime coat of the base course prior to placing of the bituminous surface course. Its purpose is to bind the granular material of the base course to the asphalt layer. Usual application is by spray using a distributor.
Applications:
Roofing: As a waterproofing membrane and as an adhesive to stick chippings onto a flat, horizontal roof to minimise the effects of weathering from the sun.
Damp-Proof Courses: Used as damp-proof membranes in concrete floors particularly for small repairs or where extensions are keyed-in to existing structures.
Fish Net Coating: To prolong service life of fish nets.
Spramul CSB-1
Is a low-viscosity, asphalt-based primer suitable for porous surfaces. Once fully cured, it forms a highly stabilized matrix of bitumen and aggregate material
Spramul CRS-2 (Asean+)
Is a cationic type of asphalt emulsions manufactured according to specifications of ASTM D2397 – “Standard Specifications for Cationic Emulsified Asphalt” Bitumen Road Emulsion, Cationic Rapid Setting type 2
Application
This product can be used as bituminous seal coat and as bituminous surface treatment that conforms to
items 303 and 304 of Philippines Standard Specifications for Highways, Bridges and Airports
Spramul CSB-2
Is a high-viscosity, asphaltic binder designed for excellent adhesion of the prepared base to the hard-wearing chips used as a first layer of the Shell Instapave System.
Application
Shell Spramul CSB 2 is used in binder used in the Chip Course layer of Shell Instapave system. This asphaltic binder shall be sprayed using distributor trucks with pressurized spray bars designated for uniform application of bituminous material. The rate of application ranges from 1.2 to 2.0 liters/m2 as determined by the site Engineer.
Spramul CSB-3
Is a high-stability bituminous coating with excellent workability and adhesion used for slurry applications and final coatings for Shell Instapave System.
Applications
Shell Spramul CSB3 3 is designed for use in various surface dressing treatments such as Fog Seal and

Spramul CSB-3HD
Is a latex modified bituminous coating with excellent workability, enhanced curing and adhesion properties used for slurry application and final coatings for Shell Instapave system.

Shell Spramul CSB3 HD is designed for use in various surface dressing treatments such as Fog Seal and Slurry Application.
Spramul CSB-3Q
Is a specially formulated bituminous binder with excellent workability, enhanced curing and adhesion properties used for slurry application. It is designed to set faster than Shell Spramul CSB3.
Applications
Shell Spramul CSB3 Q is designed for use in various surface-dressing treatments such as Fog seal and Slurry Application.
Spramul CSS-1h (Asean+) Bitumen Road Emulsion, Cationic Slow Setting type 1h
Is a cationic slow setting asphalt emulsion designed for use as a tack coat, base stabilization, fog sealing, dust control and specialty applications.
Applications
Slow setting emulsions are the most stable of emulsions, and generally can be diluted with water and mixed with mineral fillers and aggregates for all paving uses.
Spramul SS-1h (Asean+) Bitumen Road Emulsion, Anionic Slow Setting type 1h
Is an anionic slow setting asphalt emulsion designed for use as a tack coat, base stabilization, fog sealing, dust control and specialty applications.
Applications
Slow setting emulsions are the most stable of emulsions, and generally can be diluted with water and mixed with mineral fillers and aggregates for all paving uses.
